7. Roy Briscoe

Roy Briscoe
Born and brought up in Warwick, Roy left school and became an electrical trade apprentice. He hasn’t strayed far from those roots, still working in electrical contracting, maintaining social housing for Councils and Housing Associations.
Rugby held little interest during Roy’s school days where cricket was his first passion. He was 23 years old when a friend asked him to play, out on the wing he scored three tries but no one had told him he needed to ground the ball. He went on to become 1st Team and Club Captain for Warwick Rugby Club, mostly playing at No. 8.
Meeting Niki brought him to Melbourne as they met at the Ferrers Arms at Lount in 2003, later marrying in 2007 in Barbados.
Roy now does all things Social for our Club.
