U14s win away at Melton Mowbray

After cancellations galore and lots practice opportunities, we approached this away fixture with a little trepidation.
But it was Melbourne that got the ball rolling with some positive clearing out and a great touch down for Alex Watts. Cameron Redfern stormed over the top of one or two and made it two, but just before the break Melton came back with a try of their own.
It was even early in the second half, and ascendency flip flopped between the two teams with alternating 10-minute intervals of extra intensity and ball-retention by both sides.
A fine game, well-fought, with great match spirit, and after the game a great clapping support for both teams in the tunnel.
