This weekend saw our All MACs U18s teamed up with Long Eaton - affectionately known as LE MAC - faced Mansfield U18s at Melboune.
Massive thanks to the coaches at Mansfield for making this fixture happen at short notice due to our original opponent not being able to fulfil the fixture.
It was never going to be an easy game, yet the girls have developed a close team bond and never say die attitude. This has seen them go toe to toe with some of the leading U18 sides in the Midlands already this season.
It really was a seesaw game as Annaliise opened the scoring, with Kira converting, then Mansfield replied with a try of their own. Annalise and Kira did the business again, before Mansfield scored their second try. Half Time 14-10.
The second half saw more attrition between the committed sides. Georgie scored from close in and Kira kept her 100% record from the tee, yet Mansfield come back with a 3rd try of their own. A sniping try from Maddie made it 26-15, with the kick sadly missed on this occasion .
Yet again Mansfield come back and scored their final try of game, making it a fantastic 26-20 victory for LE MAC !
Well done to all the girls with every single one of them putting in 100% commitment.
