Sunday saw All MACs U18s take to the field with Long Eaton at the MSP, we played 12 a side.
Their opponents were an Paviors and Newark hybrid team containing a couple of girls on an England pathway and Centre of excellence, respectively.

The home team struggled to get to grips with these two individuals in the first half, although more than matched the rest of the opposition, presenting a solid scrum and lineout to work from.
The MAC girls carried well, making ground whenever they had the ball. Ruby (LE number 10) and our own Maddie controlled the play in possession well, moving the ball around the park in what became very wet conditions.

After our team talk and oranges, the second half ensued, our defensive line speed and aggression increased, which immediately reaped rewards as the girls pressed and won possession of the egg, a few phases later and our own Hope touched down for their first try.
Our opposition was suppressed for the majority of the half, the home scrum becoming quite dominant mainly due to Kat and Hope on the front row.
After a couple of breakaway tries to the opposition, they sealed of the half with a well-earned team try of their own.
Although the game was a loss, the girls learned a valuable lesson today, a well made team is always better than a group of individuals...Well played All MACs.
