U11 minxes in competitive draw at Stafford

Where do I start!
The girls took part in a joint warm up, mixing well and having fun with the Stafford Girls.
Instead of several short matches, the game was played 20 minutes each half, which left all on the side breathless, never mind the Girls!
The game slowly warmed up with scores from both sides. I think the Tour in Wales has brought the girls closer as a team, and they stuck together in defence, helping each other out. Stafford’s biggest player charged forward and Erin stepped in and stopped her in her tracks. A great moment to watch considering Erin has only played for a few months. Kira drove the team forward and collected a couple of tries, with 2 other tries from Alina and Harriet. The second half was also hard fought, with big tackles from Kira, Maegan, Alina, Harriet and another stand out tackle from the mighty Evie! Great runs from Mya, Maegan and Eva, made for an exciting back and forth attacking game, resulting in more tries from Kira, Alina, Harriet with Ananya also getting in on the act.
Thanks to Stafford Roses for hosting us at short notice and for playing rugby in the spirit of the game.

The game finished with both teams scoring 11 tries.
