Pete and Matt share the spoils (sort of). Pete still 5 up

So Week 13 saw Melbourne travel to Lincoln (unbeaten at home) and pick up the away win. 3 Trys only though missing out on the bonus point. Chances were taken from Lincoln errors. Away games in this League are tough

On to the other fixtures

We both got Long Eaton and Loughborough games right

Long Eaton thrashed Matlock 52-19 and 1st and 2nd in 2 weeks is a tasty looking clash.

Loughborough also beat Market Rasen 41-7 as we both predicted. Loughborough ticking along quite nicely are now in 3rd.

Southwell travelled to Ashby in the battle of the bottom 2 and picked up a valuable win. Ashby picking up a bonus point though.

The games we differed on saw the points shared.

Dronfield beat Ashbourne 31-22 for a 5 point haul, with Pete predicting the home win here.

Ilkeston got there 4th (!!) draw of the season against Newark 24-24 and a Try bonus pont. Matt predicted Ilkeston win or a Draw so take the point here.

So the table sees Melbourne 14 points clear still of Long Eaton who come to Cockshut Lane on the 29th January. 4 sides play there game in hand next week, but thus should not affect the table. The bottom sees Southwell close on Ashby a little but are still 8 points adrift. Only 11 points separate 2nd-9th.

A week off for Melbourne 1s next week.

The 2s have a top of the table clash at home against Sutton Bonnington KO 2.15
