Despite half term, 10 minxes linked up with 5 crusaders for a exciting afternoon at Long Eaton's pitch up and play.
Longbourne were nervous to gel together and this made for a slow start to their game against the cluster that was Ashby, Chesterfield and Donington. The second game against Mansfield B was a lot more like the minxes we know they can be, and they controlled the game from the start. A strong Burton side was the next test for Longbourne and saw the minxes frustrated by decisions which they felt cost them three tries in what should have been a close competitive game. The final game was against our friends Mansfield A and this was by far the most entertaining game of the afternoon, with end to end, free running rugby, big tackles, fierce rucking and committed attacking play.
Thanks to Long Eaton for a well organised PUP, and we look forward to working closing with them next season as we move to 15 aside at U15's.
