Melbourne travelled to Kesteven on a coach (with supporters) for an expected tough League game with Kesteven unbeaten at home.
Melbourne saw a few changes with Starky being released by Worcester (admin and statistics), Tommy Howard returning and captain Euan Holden just about making if off his sick bed after a bout of man flu.
Kesteven tested Melbourne in the first half and controlled the ball well, but Melbourne turned on the style in the second half, with Pagey and Euan controlling the show to push Kesteven back. Spinning the ball wide paid dividends with 5 of the Trys scored out wide. 2 for Tommy, 1 Foster and 1 Tommy Lowery. Coyney got the front row union on the score sheet, with Mog getting one for the second row brothers after coming on for Will Judge who allegedly butchered his chance. Starky got the other
