U11s Minxes in a Fearless Team Performance

After a long drive over to Peterborough festival this Sunday you may be forgiven if you thought Melbourne (and our Ashby trio of friends) would be a little slow to get going in their first match but in fact they created a storm from the first whistle to leave us all in awe of their ferocity and brought down a hurricane of tackles on their opposition.
A little hesitant in contesting possession in the second game, which allowed the opposition the upper hand, they held their own in the third game - with many of the newer players playing and discovering that they have a feisty side too.
Melbourne - The beast from the west - rained down further fury in their final game lifting their game against a disciplined and experienced opposition and inspiring each other to step up to shine through - certainly the sun was not present in the sky but the parents were beaming like it was mid July!
