Loughborough's big pack provided a stern test for Melbourne, but the Melbourne defence was excellent throughout.
Onto the other fixtures - Dronfield v Southwell and Lincoln v Ashbourne both feel foul to the weather and were postponed. They may be rearranged for next Saturday. TBC
We both got the Ilkeston v Ashby result right prediciting a home win and Ilkeston won 34-15 to put some space between them and Ashby. The will be glad with the bonus point and 2 wins in a row.

The league table sees Melbourne stretch their lead to 17 points over Long Eaton. The top of the table remains tight with only 5 points covering 2nd to 5th and 12 points 2nd - 10th. Dronfield's game in hand could see them leap frog Long Eaton if they get a bonus point win. Ashby are 12 points adrift of 10th place, with Southwell 16 points adrift but with a game in hand. Games are running out though.
