League action resumes this week. Pete 5 up. Matt going first. How safe will Pete play it with only 4 weeks remaining?

Pete agrees will all of Matt’s predictions and finding even one to differ on will be difficult.

Melbourne welcome Newark to Cockshut lane for a 3pm KO. The pitch was unplayable a week ago, but the dry and warm weather in the last few days should have helped. 4 points for Melbourne will secure the league title. No predictions as usual.

Dronfield and Long Eaton are both in a battle for second place with Dronfield currently having the advantage.

Dronfield travel to Loughborough who have shown good form in the second half of the season especially at home. However Dronfield are a form team. Matt predicting a Dronfield win. Pete, just to be different, and to give Matt a chance to get 1 back, is going for Loughborough’s strong home for, to prevail in a tight game.

Long Eaton host the improving Ilkeston but should have too much here. Pete and Matt both see a home win here.

At the bottom Southwell and Ashby are battling for points to avoid the drop and both have tough fixtures.

Ashby take the long trip to Market Rasen. Ashby beat Market Rasen at home but a long away trip is always difficult. Market Rasen win for both of you s.

Southwell take the short trip to Lincoln. Lincoln have been strong a5 home all season and we both see this being the case here, and see a Lincoln win.

So that leave the mid table clash of Matlock v Ashbourne. Matlock had a good win at Newark last time, with Ashbourne thrashing Market Rasen on the same day. Matt going for an Ashbourne win. We can’t both agree every fixture, so Pete crossing his fingers for a Matlock win.

So we differ on the Matlock and Loughborough games. Can Matt pull 2 back?

Review Sunday.
